FRIENDS OF BROCKHOLES SCHOOL (FOBS)
Welcome to our FoBs page!
We are a registered charity, run by parents of Brockholes children, who organise events to raise money for Brockholes School. The money is spent on new equipment, sports items, team kits and facilities for all the children to enjoy.
We are currently fundraising to replace a toilet block for the children and a new outdoor area for little Reception Children.
Last year we organised a new outdoor area for Year 1 & 2. We also organised a new football kit and new sports t-shirts for the children to wear when representing the school, along with lots of new books for each class!
FoBs is run by a committee of volunteers, supported by the rest of the members.

Would you like to get involved?
There are many different ways you can help us:
- Come to the meetings – our meetings are held in either of our local public houses - The Rock inn & The Travellers rest. we would love to hear your ideas for making our events even more fantastic!
- Offer to help – every event needs people to set up, donate raffle prizes, run stalls and pack away afterwards.
- Support us – buy raffle tickets, come to the fairs and the fundraising events. You’ll be helping the school, having fun, and might even pick up a prize or two.
- Follow us – We have a Facebook group and a twitter account where we keep everyone up to date with what is going on. Like, heart and share our posts, the more interaction, the more people have the chance to see!

The Friends of Brockholes School exists to promote goodwill and understanding between parents, teachers and children. It is an active organisation, which in addition to organising a number of enjoyable social events, raises a lot of money to provide goods and services the school could not afford in any other way.

FoBs meetings are held monthly to discuss ideas, priorities and plan events. Notice of the meetings is posted in “Headlines” and information is also sent out on our class What’s app groups, so you know exactly what’s happening!
As stated, any parent with a child attending the school is able to join FOBS. We are always looking for new people to join the team, bringing with them fresh ideas and perspectives.
