Happy New Year!

This term, Year 4 will be studying 'Ancient Greece'

The topic is very exciting and we will try to cover as much of Ancient Greek culture and lifestyle as possible. We will be completing a wide range of activities from building our own trebuchet catapults and writing a mythological story. 

In class, we are reading and studying Varjak Paw. I expect many of the children to fall in love with the story. It is an excellent read so be ready for children wanting to carry on the series at home. 

Welcome to year 4. We like to make sure we are enjoying ourselves whilst learning but ensure we work hard at the same time. We are always kind and gentle and GO FOR GOLD!

In RE this term we will be learning about Islam. We will look at the origins of some of it's most important and long standing traditions.

In PE this term we will be continuing with the volleyball sessions we started before the chaos of Christmas! We will also be doing some Olympic activities linking to our learning about ancient Greece. I look forward to the children trying lots of new and fun activities, as well as getting some good practice in ahead of our sports day in the summer term.
