Volunteering in School - Full volunteering pack

Thank you for your offer to volunteer in school. To do this, we need to request a DBS Certificate for you - just let the office staff know that you are interested.  We will then send a link to you to complete on-line.  This link does not come from a school email so please check your Junk Folder.

We also need to see evidence of your identity - we usually we ask for:

- a valid passport and
- a UK driving licence and
- a UK bank statement or utility bill not more than three months old which shows your present address.

We need to see original documents and not copies.

We can accept other items if the above documents are not available - please refer to the attached list entitled Evidence of Identity Checks for Volunteers and Right to Work Checklist for Volunteers.

Once we have seen your original documents and you have completed the link on-line, the request will be sent off and you should receive your DBS Certificate at your home address in a couple of weeks.  Please bring the original certificate in to the school office before you start volunteering.

We also need you to read and sign the documents entitled An Induction to Volunteering in School and Self Declaration for Volunteers.

Finally, please read the attached document entitled Privacy Notice for Volunteers.
